What parts do people need reshored asap?
I heard a story recently of someone needing a Tube Bundle Bander with 52 week ship time. -
I have been getting requests for connections to:
domestic nitrile glove makers
trustworthy machine shops that don't outsource overseas
American made scrubs and hospital supplies in general
there is also a lot of talk our exposure to raw materials that make up batteries and magnets -
Skilled Labor is the biggest hurdle I see. Our mfg base has an aging workforce and no one coming in to fill the void. We need an immediate course correction on schooling/trade schools if we’re going to be a mfg economy again.

We're trying to help with this by making NORAMARK free for public schools. We think the new events calendar (released today) can be great for manufacturers to host factory tours for schools and others. We also have the jobs section of the forums so companies can post jobs.
Coming soon, users of NORAMARK will be able to post their work history if they choose to. This can also be a useful way to find employees / employers.
We've seen this as an urgent need and Linkedin and other jobs platforms are just too noisy and recruiter-oriented. We want NORAMARK to be a simple way to pair workers with jobs.
